Fantastic weather in Kloten, 14 throwers from France, Germany and Switzerland. We had a terrifically sunny spell the past few weeks, the ground was therefore very dry. The wind was a bit dodgy, though, since it came from the east and therefore over the forest. This always leads to irregularities in the air flow, so in many cases the boomerangs did not rise as high as expected. Nevertheless, there were some decent conditions in between.
We contested two rounds with 8 throws each. Manuel defended his title with a distance of 166 m, not his best score, but he had three throws round about the same range: 166 m, 165 m, 163 m (and another one 117 m). Second came Ludovic Brioux with 137 m, and the third place was tied between Stephan Spirgi (new personal best) and Laurent Garnier with 128 m. 7 out of 14 throwers had distances over 100 m.
