We had a fantastic weekend (oct 7 and 8). steady 10 km/h wind and lots of sunshine on a great field with no turbulences.

Tom Whytes won with a distance of 139m, followed by
Tibor 130m
David Hirsch 121m
Rob 117m (?)
Andy 115m (?)
Pat Steigman 111m (?)

will post full results and pictures as soon as I have them.
this was also the first time I tried finger grip (or full grip) on ld booms. more when I have more data available.

Tib,

Thanks for coming out of LD retirement and throwing at the 2006 Shootout. It was great to meet you and your wife. I appreciated your throwing tips. I'm shooting for 140-150 by this time next year. It's probably unreasonable but I like to aim high. Smiley

Do you know where and when the next LD event in North America will be held?

Well, I would not call it retirement, it was more of a much needed break Smiley
my current ld-deprived life is due to bad circumstances, ie no field big enough within reasonable distance.

The next ld event in NA will be at the USBA nationals in Eau-Clair (sp?) next year. that's more in your neck of the woods anyways.

shooting for 140 - 150 is definitly the way to go. no need to aim low.
