Mühlacker is already a classic. 3 rounds of LD on Saturday, 2 on Sunday, and a cosy BBQ on Sat evening on the Albrecht farm with lots of stuff from the grill and beer - what can you want more..

Quick summary:
it was rather hot, but dry, with low wind and lots of moving the line about on Sat, yet mostly stronger and more steady winds on Sun. Many booms landed in the forest, the small patch of high grass or the wheat field - all but one could be retrieved.

Manuel pulled off an incredible series of results (it was his birthday on Sunday..), cf table below. The second round was very frustrating: not a single valid throw. There was no perceptible wind and the air was somehow sticky.

Code:
Results:
1  Manuel Schütz CH     196
2  Thorsten Gaupp D     161
3  Laurent Garnier F    141
4  Antoine Hernandez F  133
5  Uwe Kitzberger D     132
6  Lorenz Gubler CH     131
7  Joël Hernandez F     116
8  Kari Korhonen SF     116
9  Stanislaus Plewinski 109
10 Klaus Albrecht D      82
11 Rainer ÜbelhörD       73
12 Rainer Graebenteich D 70
13 Gert Volland D        66
14 Clemens Kitzberger D  42
15 Ludovic Brioux F
16 Hans Groth D
17 Dietmar ? D
For some of the flights, the flight time from release to crossing of the line upon return was stopped. Check out the following graph. Some of the previous flights of Manuel during other tournaments over 200m were timed around 23 s as well. We reckon that the wind has considerable influence on the flight time. These flights were all timed in almost dead calm conditions, which appears to reduce the average flight velocity. Also, the different flight time - distance correlation for the 3 throwers, although statistics is poor, could be indicative of different flight paths ans / or release velocity v0.

please go ahead and use swissboomerangs for now.

[the gallery system will take another month to set up. I want to mitigate the Canadian discussion to its own domain beginning of August and then update this board to its latest possible version. only then can we install the gallery. sorry for the off topic post.]
