Lorenz :: Uwe Kitzberger
Download the print size image here.
Individual plans: Lorenz I, Lorenz II, Lorenz-ESB

Material: 3mm gfec

[2005] This is the Lorenz series by Uwe Kitzberger (Germany). The Lorenz II has its trailing arm pulled closer to the center of gravity compared to the Lorenz I. The third shape, Lorenz-ESB, has a thicker elbow (ESB="entz├╝ndeter Schleimbeutel", roughly translated "inflamed thick elbow"). Uwe made several series, varying the position and width of the elbow, the shape shown here turned out to be a well-working model. I (Lorenz) have been using a Lorenz II by Uwe for the past years and I have been very happy with it. I found it to be more stable in flight compared to the Voyager or Backdraft, which may be due to the more "closed" shape. Therefore, it is more reliable, but not at the expense of range ! I had several performances over 130m, the best 147m. Unfortunately, I lost my favorite model in a wheat field in M├╝hlacker 2005, so I had to buy a new one straight away from Uwe..
